The Total team recently completed an educational presentation for the Nassau Suffolk Water Commissioners’ Association (NSWCA) on the topic of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. Total Managing Partner Tim McKnight and Director of Client Services Dan Bernard presented.
Mr. McKnight pointed out “optimally configured and well-protected networks are far tougher for saboteurs and hackers to penetrate. Safeguarding Long Island’s Water Districts against attacks like sabotage, aggressive viruses or data breaches begins with a comprehensive Continuity and Recovery Plan, and IT is the lifeline to ensure that water delivery will be unaffected and uninterrupted.”
Mr. Bernard zeroed in on public safety, noting that it meant, “appreciating the whole picture. The reality is that organizations need services coordinated by a continuity of operations planning.”
The presentation was well received and followed by a question and answer period.
